Sales Condition and Terms

I am here for my dogs all the days of their lives. I appreciate e-mails and/or phone calls and progress reports, and I love photos! I will do my best to answer questions. My dogs are sound in mind and body when leaving me. I am an AKC inspected kennel in complete compliance with AKC's care, conditions and paperwork policies.

This animal is guaranteed to be in good health at the time of sale, and has had temporary inoculations against canine distemper hepatiti, adenovirus type 2, corona virus, paraninfluenza and parvo virus. All dogs from Thundering Pyrs/Carol E. Keen are treated monthly for heartworms as soon as they are old enough for that wormer, and are wormed on a regular basis. Hypoglycemia prevention is the responsibility of the buyer. Everything possible has been done to keep each and every puppy healthy and happy. I cannot guarantee against any external or internal parasites, virus, bacteria or allergy once the puppy has left my care. 

The buyer has a health guarantee of 2 business days (48 hours) from the time of the transfer of the animal in which to have the animal checked by a licensed veterinarian. If the veterinarian finds anything seriously genetically wrong with the animal it will be exchanged for another animal that Thundering Pyrs deems to be of equal value, at once or when available, provided a letter from the examining veterinarian is offered for our records as evidence of the animal's issue and the animal is returned within the guaranteed period. No exchanges will be made after this period, and no cash refunds will be made under any circumstances.
Sales conducted over the Internet via e-mail are legally binding and are considered part of a written contract. Refusal to complete payment for any animal will result in that buyer forfeiting the animal and any funds/monies may be forfeited at Carol E. Keen’s discretion. Any buyer that pays for an animal and refuses to accept that animal is subject to fees and fines for the housing, care, and all other expenses having to do with that animal for the time that the animal was held. Amounts of fees or fines will vary depending on the amount of time the animal was held, and the expenses incurred. This amount is not limited to forfeiting the entire cost of the animal if the buyer fails to complete the purchase and has had the animal held while expenses were being incurred. The transfer of funds is agreement to these terms and conditions.

Thundering Pyrs/Carol E. Keen assumes no financial responsibility after the animal leaves the premises. This is included but not limited to: medical expenses, landlords' disapproval, allergy to animals, mortality, disagreement of family or spouse, or any other reason except congenital birth defect causing death. In the event of death caused by congenital birth defect, registration application, bill of sale, and any other paperwork given at the time of the animals' transfer to the new owner, accompanied by a full Necropsy Report, should be returned to Thundering Pyrs and a replacement animal of equal value will be provided when available.

In some cases animals may be sold with limited registration, or with a spay/neuter contract. Thundering Pyrs may withhold the animals registration papers until veterinarian proof of spay/neuter has been confirmed. In some cases with limited registration the limit may be lifted by Thundering Pyrs after the animal has reached the age of two (2) years and has been tested for health aliments know to the breed. Animals with limited registration reaching the age of two years old should be certified for health issues and the results of that certification shown to Carol E. Keen in order for the limited registration to be lifted. In the Great Pyrenees breed dogs should not be bred before the age of one two years. Dog with limited registration are not to be bred at all.

All animals bought from Thundering Pyrs/Carol E. Keen are to be returned to her if the owner ceases to own them for any reason. Surrender to any veterinarian, emergency clinic, or shelter, for any reason, is a direct violation of this contract and can lead to litigation against all parties. The buyer agrees to not sell, trade, or re-homed this animal with-out the express signed written consent and approval of the seller/breeder. Should any litigation ever arise concerning this animal, jurisdiction, attorney’s fees, and venue for any suit shall be filed by buyer or seller shall be in Newton County, Mississippi.  Thundering Pyrs is only responsible for the amount the buyer paid for the puppy.
